Robert Ilko

Robert is a member of the American Wine Society for the past several years and is on the board of directors for the San Diego Wine Guild.  For the San Diego Wine Guild he helps decide policy, assists with arranging winemakers to present to the guild and coordinates wine tasting events.  In 2017, Robert was elected Vice President of the San Diego Wine Guild followed by being President in 2018 for two years.  He was Immediate Past President for two years and now Wine Logistics Committee Co-Chair.  Previously he served as the webmaster for www.sandiegowineguild.org and was the Social Media Director for the guild's Facebook page.  

Robert has volunteered at wine events such as the San Diego International Wine and Spirits  competition, Critics Challenge competition, Winemakers Challenge competition, Wine and Roses event, and Sommelier Challenge competition.  

Beginning in 2018, Robert has curated wines and wine pairings for nonprofit fundraiser auctions.  The auction bids have each time exceed the auction item value. 

Robert is a member of the American Wine Society, Society of Wine Educators, SommList, San Diego Wine Guild, Sonoma County AVA Wine Road Ambassador, Somm's List, California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance Ambassador, California Wine Institute, Wine World Expo, and a Rhone Ranger Sidekick.
