Thanksgiving Wine Up is a 2016 Bourdeaux 1st Grand Cru Classe that was a delight!  A blend of 87% Merlot and 13% Cabernet Franc that really brings out the smoothness of the Merlot and richness of the Cabernet Franc.  

While still young the wine's bouquet had  black fruits, graphite, and cedar box.  A well structure of acidity and fine tannins.  The tannins are from the 50% new French oak barrels during aging.   We had new friends over for dinner and like our new friends we will be friends longer than the expected drink by date of 2038!
