Friday Night Wine Up is a 2012 Fattori del Barbi Brunello di Montalcino. A bold ruby red color with aromas of red berries, cherry and red licorice. The aroma had a slight warm tobacco flavor. Tannins are firm and a healthy dose of acidity that leaves us with a long, persistent finish. Will age gracefully until 2035.
This winery has been continuously operated for over 100 years (since 1790). The estate is currently owned and managed by the 20th generation heir, Stefano Cinelli Colombini.
