Sunday Night Wine Up is a 2018 Vultour Reserve Cabernet that was rich with ripe blackberry and jam blueberry. The wine opened up to cigar and leathery notes. There were firm tannins that stay with you through the long finish.
Winemaker Tavakoli was the winemaking enologist at Opus One winery and afterwards become head winemaker at Clos Du Val Estate in Stags Leap for 8 years. This red blend has grapes come from Oakville (60%) Pritchard Hill (30%) Rutherford (7%) and St. Helena (3%). After fermentation the wine matures for 21 months in 70% new French oak cooperage.
