Friday Night Wine up was a wonderful Chardonnay with citrus aromas layered with fresh apple, honeysuckle and the right amount of butter. We found it to have lemon, green apple with a some pepper spice. The tannins were rounded and the wine well balanced with nice acidity. The finish was refreshing long that makes this wine a true winner!
To those who want more than just the flavor profile. From BV "The 2019 harvest started one to two weeks later than previous years, mostly due to February rains, but because the vines were in their winter dormancy, it did not affect the 2019 crop. Spring continued to be wet with some rain during flowering, followed by cool temperatures that allowed the grapes to mature gradually. Most grapes ripened at lower sugars, thanks to the extended, cool growing season." The October 2019 wildfires did not impact this vintage as most of the fruit was already harvested.
