Sunday Night Wine Up is a 2015 Clos du Clocher from Pomerol (Bordeaux, France). The Clos du Clocher is made in the Pomerol appellation. It is a red wine made from a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The vineyard is 5.9 hectares and has vines with an average age of 33. The vineyard is planted with 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. Its terroir consists of clay-silt soil on blue clay subsoil and deep gravel. The wine is aged for 18 months in fine-grained French oak barrels (two-thirds in new barrels and one-third in older barrels).

The Clos du Clocher 2015 is discreet in its youth. Once it opens up in its maturity, it reveals originality and exceptional character. It exudes the aromas of black fruit, violet and truffle, which are the characteristic scents of Merlot. There are also notes of spice, menthol and tobacco, as well as the freshness and subtlety of the aged Cabernet Franc.

Composition: 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc

Alcohol: 14.5%
