80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc and <1% Malbec.

A medium to deep garnet-purple in color greets you and you will find a nose of baking spices, dark and red fruits. Not a full bodied but a good medium-bodied wine. On the palate there is again red and black fruit. The tannins were firm and very present finishing on a a good long note.
The Chateau Marjosse Vineyard is owned by renown wine producer Pierre Lurton with a long history of the vineyards. The vines are in the Entre-deux-Mers appellation on the right bank of the Bordeaux River. A Carthusian monastery was constructed in 1782 by the owner Bernard Chenier. Chateau Marjosse was later owned by Alban Deleuze, who owned the Parisan Magasins du Louvre. In 1990, George, the son of Alban Deleuze, rented out some plots to aspiring winegrower, Pierre Lurton. In 1992, Pierre Lurton,moved into a second home in Chateau Marjosse. In 2000, Pierre Lurton brough tin more than 40 cement vats constructed and in 2013, became the owner of the entire 40-hectare vineyard, as well as the Charterhouse.
